Dr. Kim earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), where he conducted research in visual recognition and deep learning. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the School of Electronics and Computer Engineering at Chonnam National University, where he leads the Visual Computing and Learning Laboratory. Before joining academia, Dr. Kim worked as a researcher at the Agency for Defense Development. He then served as a Senior Researcher in the Visual Intelligence Research Section at the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), contributing to national R&D projects focused on visual artificial intelligence.
